1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ebookwriter.app, a web application for planning, writing, designing and exporting eBooks ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Your content and your keys
You keep all rights to the topics, documents, links and text you provide, and to the books the Service produces for you ("Your Content"). You grant ebookwriter.app a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you.
If you connect your own AI provider keys (for example OpenAI, Anthropic or Google), those keys are encrypted at rest, used only to fulfil requests you initiate, and never shown again after you save them. Usage billed by those providers is your responsibility.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- generate or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful or that infringes someone else's rights;
- attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits or security controls;
- resell or offer the Service to third parties without our written consent;
- upload malware or interfere with the operation of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
5. Plans, credits and payment
Free plans require you to bring your own AI key. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and include a platform credit allowance that resets each billing period; unused allowance does not roll over. Credit packs never expire. Prices are shown before you subscribe and may change with at least 30 days' notice. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
6. AI-generated content
The Service uses third-party AI models. Generated text and images can be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for a given purpose. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything you publish. ebookwriter.app does not guarantee originality or fitness for any particular use.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. Where a change materially reduces the Service, we will give reasonable notice.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion we remove Your Content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms with notice where practicable.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, ebookwriter.app disclaims all warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above; material changes will also be announced in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
